Apple WWDC 2017

This morning Apple announced a bunch of new hardware and software. They announced the new iPad Pro, the new iMac Pro, iOS 11, mac OS High Sierra, the new Mac lineup, HomePod and watchOS 4. I really like the updates that they announced for iOS. One of the more notable updates that they announced for iOS is the improved control center. All of its functionality can be customized to suit your personality. Everything will also be consolidated on one page. It was annoying to have the music controls on a second page.

Apple also talked about how Siri is more expressive, and natural with machine learning improvements. Siri can translate what you say from English to other languages. It will be interesting to see how Siri improves over time. HomePod is Apple’s answer to Amazon Echo and Google Home. It looks like it has more of a music focus, but it can still be used to control lights and answer questions.

Another announcement that I thought was exciting is the improved multitasking on iPad. Apple improved the dock so that it can hold more applications. The dock can also be opened in any screen. Overall, it should make the iPad a better productivity device.

I am also excited to see what Apple does with the new augment reality kit for developers. I hope Niantic takes advantages of the new the new augmented reality kit. What do you think of Apple’s announcements at WWDC 2017?

Apple Reveals the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Today Apple announced the iPhone 7. The new iPhone has a faster processor, better battery life and a better camera. I am really looking forward to trying out this iteration of the device. The upgraded camera has optical image stabilization, 12 megapixels and a Quad-Led True Tone flash. I think that the new camera is a standout feature for the device.

The iPhone 7 has a powerful A10 processor. It also has a much stronger battery. The battery on the new iPhone lasts two hours longer than the battery on the iPhone 6s. This is reason alone to pick up the new phone.

However, the iPhone 7 does have one major flaw; Apple decided not to include a headphone jack. They introduced new wireless headphones called AirPods. AirPods use Bluetooth technology to connect to all your Apple devices. With the charging case AirPods have a battery life of 24 hours. They look pretty cool, but they cost 159 dollars. I guess buying cheap headphone replacements is out of the question.

One last thing I want to mention is that the new iPhone is water resistant. This is great news for people who like to talk in the rain. What do you think of the iPhone 7?

What do you think of Apple’s New Product Line?

Apple recently revealed their new product line for Fall 2015. They announced a new iPad Pro, the iPhone 6S and the new Apple TV.
Apple has finally released a product to compete with the Microsoft Surface. The iPad Pro has a 12.9 inch retina display; it also has the new A9X chip and it makes use of the Apple Pencil. It is interesting how Apple is trying to re brand a stylus by calling it an Apple Pencil. The Apple Pencil is overpriced at $99 and the iPad Pro will cost $799 for 32GB. There will also be a 128GB model for $949 and it will be available in November.

Apple’s new iPhone isn’t a major upgrade, but it does have some cool new features. The iPhone 6S has the A9X processor; it also has a 12 megapixel camera and it makes use of 3D touch.This new feature allows the users to view a website or image before it is opened. It also allows the user to access shortcuts before an application is opened. The iPhone 6S can also take 4K videos; I think that the camera on the iPhone 6S is pretty awesome.

One of the most interesting products that Apple will be updating this fall is the Apple TV. The new Apple TV has the ability to download games and applications. It also comes with the Siri Remote; this remote is used to control every aspect of the system. The Apple TV is going to cost $149 and it will be available at the end of October. I really like the direction that the new Apple TV is going in.

Apple Reveals OS X El Capitan

Apple held their developers conference today. During the developer conference they revealed their latest computer operating system, OS X El Capitan. The new operating system is supposed to boost performance using the new technology, Metal. Metal is a new graphics technology that allows the main processor and the graphics processor to work together efficiently. It is supposed to make the system more fluid and responsive. They also revealed updates to some of their applications such as adding transit info to maps, adding extensions to photos and adding updates to the search bar. Apple also revealed their new Notes application that is supposed to sync between all Apple devices.

It looks like a more stable and faster update to OS X. OS X El Capitan is coming out in Fall 2015. My Mac had a lot of trouble handling OS X Yosemite; I might not be able to update to the latest OS X operating system. What do you think of Apple’s new operating system?

Apple Watch is it really innovative?

Last week Apple announced their new smart watch. It looks like a very capable device. The new watch uses a digital crown to zoom up on apps and to return to the home screen. This new digital crown is supposed to revolutionize the smart watch. The Apple Watch also has a retina display. The retina display will make it easy to read text and view images. The Apple Watch also functions by connecting to a persons iPhone. This is similar to how the Moto 360 connects to a person’s Android phone.

What do I think about the Apple Watch?

I don’t think that the Apple Watch is innovative. It is similar to many of the Android watches that came out months ago. It is a beautifully designed watch. However I like the circular design of the Moto 360 better. It is interesting how the Apple Watch uses the digital crown. The digital crown is a cool feature, but I don’t think it makes the Apple Watch superior to the other smart watches. The main reason people wear a watch these days is for fashion or style. If a person wants to check the time they can just use their smartphone.

What features do I want to see in an Apple Watch?

To be truly innovative I think Apple would have had to do something revolutionary. If the Apple Watch had the ability to display holograms it would be truly different. I will not be getting a smart watch until it can do something truly innovative. The Apple Watch is not innovative! It is just a copy of Android and Galaxy smart watches. Apple is buying Beats for 3 Billion

Last week Apple announced that it will be acquiring Beats for 3 Billion Dollars. Apple has a lot to gain from this deal. They will be in control of the Beat’s Headphones, Beat’s Speaker Lines and the new Beat’s Music Service. Beat’s founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Lovine will also be joining Apple.

I think Apple has a lot to gain from this new acquisition. They have a lot to gain because of the people that are joining Apple and the branding that Beats has. It will be interesting to see what Apple does with Beats in the coming months.

iPhone 6 Rumored to have Bigger Screens

It is rumored that the next iPhone will have larger screens. The iPhone 5 has a screen size of four inches. The iPhone 6 is rumored to have a 4.8 inch display. I don’t understand why cell phones have to get any bigger. Soon my cell phone is going to be as big as laptop. If it was up to me I would make the next iPhone smaller and more compact.

iPad Air coming in November

Apple held a press conference earlier today that detailed the release of a new iPad called the iPad Air. It is supposed to be 20 percent thinner and 28 percent lighter. It also has an Apple A7 processor chip and it runs at 64 bits. The iPad Air has a 9.7 inch display and it comes in two colors, space gray or silver. I have never owned an iPad before, but this new product looks really tempting. I can’t wait to try one out when they come to local stores. The iPad Air will be released on November 1st. It will come in four sizes 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Will you be getting an iPad Air?

iPhone 5C a New Color

Apple is releasing two new phones this fall; they are releasing the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5C is the lower end model and it is replacing the iPhone 5. It uses a plastic casing and comes in multiple colors. The iPhone 5C comes in five different colors; they are white, pink, yellow, blue, and green. I think it’s really cool that Apple is letting you choose between several different colors. This is something that they should have considered a few years ago. I really like how the blue model looks. The iPhone 5C is coming out on September 20, 2013. There is a 16gb version for $99 and a 32gb version for $199. What color iPhone do you think looks the best?

iPhone 5S Rumors

Apple is due to release a new iPhone; last year they released the iPhone 5 on September 12th. It is rumored that Apple will release a new iPhone on September 10th. It is also rumored that Apple will release a cheaper plastic iPhone. I wonder what new technology this device will have in it. I hope that they make the design more compact and lighter.

iPhone 5 Review

I recently upgraded to a smartphone; I know I’m a little bit behind. I always wanted a smartphone but I could never justify the price. However, with the new iPhone 5 I couldn’t resist the urge to get a smartphone. The iPhone 5 is a great piece of technology, and I will give you my thoughts on this new device.

What I like about the iPhone 5

I love how fast the new iPhone is; it takes very little time to switch between applications and run graphic intensive applications. I also own an iPod Touch (4th generation), and you can notice the difference in speed. The iPhone 5 is also a great device to watch Netflix, and YouTube. The videos load quickly and run smoothly. I often prefer to use my iPhone over my computer and tablet because it is so accessible. The iPhone 5 has an A6 processor with three GPU cores; it is a very fast device. Another great feature on the iPhone 5 is the 8-megapixel camera. It takes great videos, and pictures. The iPhone records video at 1080p, and it looks incredible.

What I don’t like about the iPhone 5

One of the biggest issues I have with the iPhone 5 is that the battery dies way too quickly. This device can barely hold a charge. I usually have to charge it a couple of times throughout the day. However, on a positive note the lightning cable provides a really fast charge. I also don’t like the size of the new iPhone; it is way too tall. I wish that it were the size of my iPod Touch. They need to stop making cell phones so massive and bulky. If they keep increasing the size of these smartphones they are going to be as big as a 7-inch tablet.

Overall I think that the iPhone 5 was a great purchase; it is very fast and easy to use. Hopefully the next iteration has a battery that lasts longer. I give the iPhone 5 an 8.5 out of 10. What do you think about the iPhone 5?

iOS 7 Coming this Fall

The Apple iPhone is getting a new look and feel this fall. It is called iOS 7 and it is a major update to the current operating system on the iPhone. Apple is changing the design of their icons and adding some key new features. Apple is adding a control center; the control center allows the user to access their settings with just a swipe. Another new feature is the ability to add filters to your photos. Some of the filters that will be available include Noir, Fade and Instant. What am I looking forward to in Apple’s new update?

I am looking forward to the new control center that Apple is adding. It used to be a pain to change the Brightness and the WiFi. It used to be a three step process and now it is only a one step process. I am really excited about the control center in iOS 7.

What looks disappointing in the new operating system?

The design of the icons is a let down; it looks like these icons came out of a cartoon. They also look overly simple and lame. For example the new Game Center Application is literately four circles; it just isn’t very inspiring or innovative. However, I care more about the features and the new features look to make up for the lack of design.
